The Auto Insurance Market is Changing: Here's How ATI is Adapting

The study paints a clear picture: customers are fed up with rising premiums and a lack of choice. Nearly half (49%) are actively shopping around for a better deal, and satisfaction levels are at an all-time low (676 on a 1,000-point scale). This is especially true for electric vehicle (EV) owners, who face even higher costs and lower satisfaction with the quote process.

One concerning trend is the decline of telematics (UBI) programs. These programs, which reward safe drivers with lower rates, were only offered to 15% of shoppers this year, down from 22% in 2023. This is a missed opportunity, as UBI programs can significantly improve customer satisfaction with price.
